Equestrian Services in Highland
The Highlands cover a huge area of mountains, glens and lochs, and offer some of the most dramatic trekking in the UK. Riding centres here range from small family yards to trekking centres that cater for holidaymakers.
Where to ride in Highland
The Cairngorms National Park around Aviemore has forest tracks through ancient pinewoods and big mountain views. The Black Isle around Fortrose and the farmland near Muir of Ord offer gentler riding, while the far north around Wick has open coast and moorland. Scotland's right of responsible access lets riders use many paths and tracks, as long as they follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code.
